The Friends of Ellington Park was founded in February 2010 by two local Police Community Support Officers who were concerned for the Park’s future as a safe and thriving environment for all.  On a cold, winter’s evening, a public meeting was held and a number of those who attended put their names down to form the first ever Friends’ Management Committee.

Since then, many skilled and talented people have served Ellington Park and the local Community on the Committee, lending their time and (often, a lot of) energy in a voluntary capacity.  Every Winter, we hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM), at which the Committee gets elected for the ensuing year.  The photo below was taken at the 2015 AGM, held in St. Lawrence Parish Hall.

The current Management Committee consists of:

Ms Beverley Perkins (Chair)
Ms Patricia Scutt (Treasurer)
Dr Sue Martin (Secretary)
Mr Joseph Dance
Mr Alan Linfoot
Ms Dianne Reilly

The Committee is assisted in its duties by a dedicated Communications team, a Project Manager who ably oversees the progress of the Wildlife Garden project, and an industrious Membership Administrator.  We are also very proud of our ever-growing army of general volunteers, who cheerfully lend their assistance on event days (stewarding, for example), as well as handing out leaflets, and offering help in many more ways besides.

The Friends of Ellington Park is a committee made up of a group of local residents and park users committed to improving the facilities and environment of Ellington Park in Ramsgate, Kent.
